Communication Federal Credit Union (originally Pioneer Bell
Credit Union) was founded by employees of Southwestern Bell
Telephone in downtown Oklahoma City. A federal charter for
the Pioneer Bell Credit Union was granted in 1939.
Since that time, CFCU has grown to serve many other outstanding
companies including OG&E, ONEOK, AEP/PSO, AT&T
and Goodyear Tire. The name was changed to Communication Federal
Credit Union in 1982 to reflect this growing field of membership.
Communication Federal is a full-service credit union
with over 110 employees and
seventeen branches in Oklahoma and Kansas, serving more
than 47,000 members.
CFCU is among the safest financial institutions in the country
and is one of the few five-star rated
Oklahoma credit unions. No other Oklahoma credit union
has received this honor more often than Communication Federal.
