How To Change Your Address
For your protection, federal regulations specify that we must verify certain information when updating contact information. This is done so that your information cannot be fraudulently changed without your knowledge. We know this causes some inconvenience, but please remember this is for your protection. Following are three ways that you may update your contact information. Changing your address in person also allows us to update our record of your ID on file with the credit union. Having a copy of your most recent ID is also very important to help us prevent fraud. We can look at our system to verify your identity any time someone requests an in-person transaction. Next time you’re in a CFCU branch, ask a Member Service Representative to make sure we have the most recent copy of your ID.
- In person at any CFCU branch – this is the most secure method of updating your information. Because you are in front of a CFCU employee, we can easily verify your identity and signature.
- By Mail – You may write a letter requesting that your address be changed. This letter must contain the primary account holder’s signature so that it can be verified. You may also download the Address Change Request Form. Once completed, please return form to any CFCU branch or mail to: 4141 NW Expressway, Suite 200, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
- Through CFCU Online Banking – once you have logged into your account from your computer, you may click on the Settings link in the top right hand corner. Select the Profile option and you will see the option to change your Address.
Due to federal regulations, we cannot accept change of address requests by email, through the “Contact Us” form on our website or through a mobile banking message. These forms do not contain sufficient authentication. We always caution our members from sending any personal information such as account or Social Security numbers via the web as it could be obtained by a fraudster.
