Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act
Federal law, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (effective June 2, 2010) and implementing regulations prohibit commercial members from receiving deposit or other credits of any kind relating to their operation of an illegal Internet gambling business. Communication Federal Credit Union is required to enforce that prohibition.
It is Communication Federal Credit Union’s policy to not open or maintain any account for commercial members held with the intent to conduct or engage in Internet gambling activity, whether legal or illegal. If the credit union discovers or determines that an existing commercial member transacts or engages in Internet gambling activity as defined by the UIGEA, the credit union reserves the right to restrict services or terminate the account relationship.

Our Credit Union is constantly concerned about our member’s critical information and privacy. With this in mind, we have the following security services installed on our Internet server:
- Each server is behind a Firewall. This UNIX-based hardware product blocks critical ports and IP addresses on servers from external attack and access.
- Each server runs proprietary software that constantly monitors the servers for unauthorized use and attempts to “hack” into information. Administrators are contacted when forced attacks are committed, and countermeasures can be applied to stop these instances.
- All administrative activity requires user login and authentication. All administrative updates are logged into files that can be reviewed later.
- All communication between the web server and member is digitally encrypted by a SSL certificate. Information passed in applications cannot be decrypted by third parties attempting to “pick” information being passed across the Internet backbone.
We do not collect information that personally identifies a user of our website unless the user voluntarily provides that information to us.
